Wolfspeed manufactures SiC devices that are automotive AEC-Q101 certified

Wolfspeed has more than 50 SiC bare die, MOSFETs and Schottky diodes that are AEC-Q101 qualified. According to the Automotive Electronics Council, the purpose of the AEC-Q101 certification is “to determine that a device is capable of passing the specified stress tests and thus can be expected to give a certain level of quality and reliability in the application.” Wolfspeed’s SiC discretes deliver the highest-available power density and excellent durability for on-board automotive power conversion systems, off-board charging and solar inverters.

Wolfspeed manufactures PPAP capable SiC devices

The launch of Wolfspeed’s E-Series devices introduces SiC MOSFETs and diodes that are also PAPP capable in addition to AEC-Q101 certified. The Production Part Approval Process (PAPP) is a streamlined method used in the automotive supply chain to ensure that a developer has refined the design and production processes to meet the client’s expectations. This advancement leads to some of the most reliable automotive power devices available on the market.
