Wolfspeed 1200V SiC MOSFETs Enable Bidirectional Charging for 200V to 800V EV Batteries

Wolfspeed introduces its latest reference design; a 22kW EV charger design which provides a fast and efficient on-board charging or a power block for fast charging stations. This design uses our latest 1200V MOSFETs capable of charging the latest 800V battery systems or legacy battery systems down to 200V. Its simple topology enables bidirectionality allowing vehicles to be an AC power source. Not an EV designer? Sections of this design can be used in UPS, ESS, Solar or high frequency applications.
