This 250kW three-phase inverter demonstrates best-in-class system-level power density and efficiency obtained by using Wolfspeed’s new XM3 power module platform. The XM3 power module platform is optimized for SiC MOSFETs in a high-density; low-inductance footprint; which reduces system-level losses and simplifies the overall system design.

This design features:

  • Optimized design for Wolfspeed’s All-SiC; Low Inductance; XM3 Power Modules
  • Complete Stackup; including: Modules; Cooling; Bussing; Gate Drivers; Voltage / Current Sensors; and Controller
  • High-Frequency; Ultra-Fast Switching Operation with Ultra-Low Loss; Low Parasitic Bussing
  • Enables Compact; Lightweight Systems
  • 2x Increased Power Density Compared to a Silicon Based Inverter
  • High Efficiency Operation
  • Reduced Thermal Requirements
