    Wolfspeed’s CGD1700HB2M-UNA is a dual-channel gate driver board for evaluation of Wolfspeed SiC MOSFETs and power modules. This board can be used in conjunction with Wolfspeed evaluation kits and reference designs. Three variations of this gate driver are offered with different default output voltages to support evaluating MOSFET performance under different bias conditions. The board includes 2 W isolated power supplies with undervoltage and reverse polarity protection. Each of the two gate drive channels features over-current protection, an active Miller clamp, and separate turn-on and turn-off gate resistors for independently tuning switching speeds. The board includes circuitry to measure temperature from a thermistor, when available. The gate driver board also features integrated MMCX connectors to measure high-side and low-side gate-to-source voltages (VGS) with fiber optically isolated probes such as the TIVP1 from Tektronix®.

    • User-configurable turn-on and turn-off gate resistors enabling switching loss optimization
    • On-board overcurrent; shoot-through prevention; undervoltage protection; and reverse polarity protection
    • Isolated analog-to-PWM signal encoding for thermistor feedback
    • Differential inputs for increased noise immunity
    • Fault and power indicator LEDs for instant visual feedback
